What a doll! Kim Kardashian looks back at 2009 Barbie shoot for Kurv Magazine and brands it 'one of the hardest I've ever done'

Kim Kardashian must have been feeling a bit sentimental on Tuesday, as she decided to throw it back to 2009 to her Kurv Magazine cover shoot.

The 35-year-old took to her website, kimkardashianwest.com, to share behind the scenes information about her Barbie-themed shoot, for which she had dyed her hair for the first time.

'This was one of the hardest shoots I've ever done,' Kim gushed of the day, as she shared a collection of behind the scenes photos

Kim shared she was working with Clyde Haygood for the shoot, for which she dyed her hair a 'blondish color.'

'He was determined to get this hair color photographed because he knew I was only keeping it for a month,' she explained, adding: 'I had to shoot my first perfume campaign and they wanted me back to dark hair.'

That led to a Barbie-themed shoot with fashion photographer Tony Duran which saw the E! star working 'so hard' to capture her look

She gushed: 'We were so focused and got it done, but I remember it being such a full day and I loved how the shoot came out!'

Kim's locks were teased into big, voluminous curls as she sported a figure-hugging black dress that hit at her knees.

She also showed off black nail polish for the shoot, a black, mesh sleeve, and a pair of strappy black heels.

In another shot, the blonde bombshell sported a platinum blonde wig with blunt bangs as she donned a plunging, black one-piece swimsuit.

She could be seen striking a seductive pose as she rested in the lap of a platinum-haired male model, meant to look like Barbie's companion, Ken.

Kim also shared an interview her team held with make-up icon Charlotte Tilbury containing tips and pet peeves.

'I've always admired her work,' the mother-of-two shared of Charlotte, excitedly adding: 'We had so much fun!'
