Chelsea's Lucas Piazon and Brazilian team-mate Andrey wanted by Canadian police over alleged sexual assault

On-loan Chelsea forward Lucas Piazon is wanted by Canadian police investigating a sexual assault in July. Piazon, 21, and fellow Brazilian Andrey Da Silva Ventura, 22, are accused of subjecting a 21-year-old woman to 'unwanted sexual contact' after meeting her and a friend at a nightclub in Toronto. It is alleged by police that the pair went back to one of the two women's homes where the assault took place.
Police allege that the victim was asleep when Piazon and Andrey entered her bedroom and sexually assaulted her. They claim that the pair then left the property. The two suspects were in Canada representing Brazil at the Pan Am games on the date that the incident is said to have taken place on Saturday, July 25.
The attack is alleged to have taken place on the day as the Bronze Final, in which Piazon came off the bench and scored in extra-time to help Brazil beat Panama. Andrey, who plays for Botafogo in the Brazilian Serie A, started in goal for the match which finished 3-1. In a statement released on Thursday, Toronto Police said it had been alleged that: 'On Saturday, July 25, 2015, a 21-year-old woman, along with a friend, met two men in a nightclub in Toronto.
'The two men accompanied the women to one woman’s residence. Once inside the residence, the two men sexually assaulted one of the women. 'The two men have now been identified, and arrest warrants have been issued for Lucas Domingues Piazon, 21, and Andrey Da Silva Ventura, 22. 'They are both wanted for sexual assault.' Sexual assault is defined as any form of unwanted sexual contact, which includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
There is a Canada-wide warrant out for the arrest of Andrey and an Ontario wide warrant out for Piazon. The pair would have to be extradited to Canada if they were to face charges.
