Must See: Boy aged 2 has arm bitten off by tiger after reaching into animal's zoo enclosure

The white Bengal tiger reportedly ripped a chunk out of the boy's arm after the child poked his limb into the animal's cage at a zoo. A tiger has bitten a two-year-old boy's arm off after the child reached into the fearsome animal's cage in a zoo. The youngster poked his arm into the white Bengal tiger's cage at Ya’an Bifeng Gorge animal park in China, through a ventilation device, say reports in the Far East. He apparently wanted to attract the ferocious animal's attention. However, the tigerreportedly sunk its teeth into the boy's right arm just below the elbow, tearing away a huge chunk of muscle and causing a large amount of bleeding. The child, who has not been identified, was taken to the People’s Hospital of Ya’an for initial treatment, but was later transferred to another facility for surgery. Doctors had to carry out a partial amputationof his arm below the elbow. The boy’s family have so far refused to comment on the incident. It follows a similar case last year involving a nine-year-old boy who had his arm torn off while trying to feed a bear in a zoo in China’s central Henan Province. The parents of Cong Cong demanded compensation of £160,000 GBP from the zoo, but they were rejected because the sum was considered too large. The Henan zoo contributed £8,000 towards Cong Cong’s treatment, but the two parties will be meeting in court to settle financial compensation for the incident. Source: Mirror
